Five Gunmen Fatally Shot in Jack’s Hill as Police Foil Criminal Operation

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A high-stakes operation in the Jack’s Hill area of St. Andrew ended with five alleged gunmen dead following an armed confrontation with law enforcement officers on Monday.

According to police sources, operatives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (CTOC) moved in on a suspected gang hideout after receiving intelligence pointing to the presence of armed men in the upscale hillside community.

Law enforcement officials say the team came under immediate gunfire upon arrival, triggering a swift and calculated response. When the dust settled, five men lay dead. Four illegal firearms were recovered during the sweep.

Investigators have yet to release the identities of the deceased as forensic teams continue to process the scene and trace the origin of the weapons seized.

This marks one of the most significant single-day fatal engagements in the capital since the start of the year and underscores the increasingly fluid nature of criminal operations across traditionally quiet zones.

The CTOC has reiterated its commitment to pursuing heavily armed criminal networks operating in residential and retreat-style locations once considered beyond suspicion.
