Security Sweep in Rockfort Uncovers AK-47 and Ammo

KINGSTON, Jamaica – An early-morning security operation in the Rockfort community on Saturday led to the discovery of an AK-47 rifle loaded with twenty-three rounds of ammunition.

Authorities say the Kingston East Police carried out a targeted search around 6:50 a.m. at a premises, where the weapon and ammunition were recovered. Despite the find, no individuals were apprehended at the location.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing, according to police officials.
