Tragic Incident in St Andrew Claims Teen’s Life

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Authorities are investigating the tragic death of a 17-year-old in St Andrew, following a violent altercation near the intersection of Ashley Road and Burke Road on Friday morning.

The teen, identified as Sayid Mitchell, who was also known by the nickname ‘Bredda Bredda,’ hailed from Metcalfe Road in the parish. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:40 am, when police in the vicinity were alerted to gunshots. Upon responding to the scene, officers discovered Mitchell suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility, where he was later pronounced dead. Investigations are ongoing as the police work to uncover the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
