Montego Bay, Jamaica — A wave of anticipation swept across Montego Bay as Fontana unveiled its latest venture, Ora by Fontana, over the weekend — a bold, upscale beauty concept aimed at redefining the local shopping experience.
Long before doors opened, eager customers gathered, drawn by the promise of exclusive access to some of the world’s most coveted beauty brands, including Rihanna’s celebrated Fenty Beauty line.
Among the early arrivals was beauty enthusiast Natasha Johnson, who shared, “I’ve been following Fenty for years. To have it finally accessible right here in Montego Bay is a dream come true. I got here early just to make sure I didn’t miss out!”
The excitement was palpable. At times, security teams had to regulate entry as crowds filled the boutique, eager to explore everything from Fenty’s best-selling Gloss Bombs to its full line of foundations, blushes, and mascaras.
“It’s an experience you don’t want to miss,” said shopper Renae Findley. “Fenty represents excellence, and having it right here through Ora by Fontana is such a win for us.”
Fontana’s Director and Chief Operating Officer, Ray Therrien, noted that the decision to expand Ora to Montego Bay was a deliberate response to increasing demand.
“Our customers have been asking for more premium beauty options, and we listened,” Therrien stated during the launch event. “Ora by Fontana is not just a store, it’s a curated experience designed to match the sophistication our customers expect.”
Chief Executive Officer Anne Chang emphasized that Ora represents a significant elevation for the Fontana brand.
“Ora brings a different energy — a higher tier of beauty shopping Jamaica deserves. It’s about offering world-class brands in a world-class environment,” Chang shared.
With Ora’s expansion, Fontana continues to position itself as a pioneer in Jamaica’s beauty retail sector, merging international luxury with local flair — and judging by Saturday’s turnout, the market was more than ready.
