KINGSTON, Jamaica – Flow brought festive cheer to its customers by awarding $5.5 million in cash prizes through its Christmasing campaign, transforming the lives of several Jamaicans and highlighting the power of connection and gratitude.
Six fortunate winners were celebrated during a special event on January 21 at Flow’s corporate offices in Kingston. Five winners of the Ya’ad & Road package received $1 million each, while a prepaid mobile promotion participant walked away with a $500,000 cash prize.
For winners like Jermaine Huell, a car rental operator, the prize money marked a turning point. After facing setbacks with a stolen vehicle and mechanical challenges at the close of 2024, Huell expressed deep gratitude. “This couldn’t have come at a better time,” he shared, adding that the prize offered a much-needed boost to his business and personal life.
Similarly, Kemar Russel, the founder of JamLynk, an online fresh produce delivery service, described his win as a chance to reignite his entrepreneurial dreams. Having paused his business to complete his accounting degree at the University of Technology, Russel said, “This money is the restart I’ve been praying for.”
For other recipients, the prizes symbolized the ability to invest in their homes and families. New Flow customer Treena Holness plans to undertake a long-awaited home makeover, while Clarendon-based small farmer Geraldine Nembhard expressed joy in finally being able to replace sections of her wooden house with concrete blocks. “This blessing will help us improve our home and expand our chicken farm,” she said.
Another winner, Lydia Walker-Landel, used her $500,000 prize to rebuild parts of her St. Elizabeth home damaged by Hurricane Beryl. A Flow prepaid customer for over 20 years, Walker-Landel expressed heartfelt thanks for the assistance in creating a safer space for her family.
Flow’s head of marketing, Latoy Lawrence, emphasized the company’s commitment to its customers. “The Christmasing campaign was our way of saying thank you and celebrating our customers. Beyond the rewards, it reflects the values of the season—sharing, giving, and uplifting.”
Running from November 8 to January 2, the campaign rewarded Ya’ad & Road subscribers with supermarket gift cards valued at up to $40,000 and entry into the grand cash prize draw. Weekly giveaways added excitement, ensuring that more customers shared in the holiday spirit.
The Christmasing campaign’s success not only showcased Flow’s dedication to rewarding its customers but also demonstrated the profound impact of community and connection in changing lives.
