Miztrizz Redefines Her Musical Journey with Bold New Steps

Miztrizz, the Canadian-born reggae songstress with Jamaican roots, has been steadily carving a name for herself in the music industry. From heartfelt reggae anthems to exploring the rhythmic allure of dancehall, Miztrizz is embracing every facet of her artistry with purpose and passion.

Known off-stage as Tiffanie Francis, Miztrizz first discovered her love for music at the tender age of eight, singing in her local church choir. Over the years, this love evolved into a full-fledged career. “Music has always been my first love. From singing in the choir to performing at high school theater concerts, I’ve always felt at home on stage,” she shares.

While she has spent the past four years professionally pursuing music, her recent nomination for Canada’s Reggae North Music Awards marked a pivotal moment. The nomination, for her reggae track Let Me Know in the Top Reggae Song of the Year (Female) category, served as a personal milestone.

“Learning about the nomination was surreal,” Miztrizz recalls. “It reminded me that my hard work is being noticed, and it fuels me to keep striving for more.” Although she didn’t win, the recognition solidified her belief in her purpose and the journey ahead.

Transitioning into Dancehall

Building on her reggae roots, Miztrizz has recently ventured into new territory with her dancehall single, Wine and Jiggle, produced by Jamaica-based Wai Fuzion. The track showcases a different side of the artist, one that embraces the vibrancy and intimacy often found in dancehall music.

“I’ve always loved dancehall,” she admits. “It brings a different energy that allows me to express a side of myself I hadn’t tapped into before. When I heard the rhythm from Wai Fuzion, it sparked an idea to explore the more intimate aspects of relationships in my music.”

A Vision for the Future

Currently, Miztrizz is in the midst of producing her first EP, a project slated for release early next year. The EP, co-produced with Wai Fuzion, promises to delve into themes of love, connection, and human experiences. While details remain under wraps, Miztrizz hints at possible collaborations with other artists and an exciting collection of about seven tracks.

“This EP is my way of capturing the essence of intimacy and relationships, blending reggae and dancehall in a way that feels true to me,” she reveals. “It’s a celebration of growth, both as an artist and as a person.”

Beyond Music

Miztrizz sees her music as more than entertainment—it’s a journey of self-discovery and connection. “Music allows me to explore who I am and share that with the world. Every note, every lyric, is a part of me.”

With her bold steps into new genres and her sights set on global recognition, Miztrizz is proving that her journey is just beginning. For fans and newcomers alike, her evolving sound promises to be a refreshing addition to the world of reggae and dancehall.
