Wet Dreams Soca Party Set to Return with Bigger Vibes and More Surprises

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Following a successful debut, the Wet Dreams soca party is set to return bigger and better in 2025, promising an even more unforgettable experience for attendees. Held at Ultra Beach on November 2, 2024, the inaugural “Bikini Soca Edition” was an instant hit, particularly with female patrons who reveled in the vibrant soca atmosphere.

Event promoter Otteney Stewart shared his excitement for the next staging, revealing that plans are already in motion to take Wet Dreams to the next level. “We’re bringing even more energy to the next Wet Dreams on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Expect paint, water, and more rum, all infused with the infectious soca vibes that make this event so special,” Stewart said. “We’re aiming to create an experience that’s not just a party, but a celebration of culture, creativity, and community.”

The concept of Wet Dreams was born out of a desire to fill a gap in Jamaica’s event scene, according to Stewart. After engaging in conversations with patrons, particularly women, he realized there was a strong demand for a beach soca party—one that moved away from the usual dancehall tracks and embraced the energetic rhythms of soca. “People were looking for something different, especially women who were tired of the usual ‘choppa’ songs. They wanted to dance to soca, so we created Wet Dreams to give them that experience,” Stewart explained.

The event exceeded expectations, with attendees enjoying the picturesque beach setting while dancing in the sand and sea to anthems like Charly Black’s Bike Back, Pumpa’s The A List, and Bayka’s She Like It. The sounds of Di Unit, DJ Peckham, and DJ Mindless pumped energy through the crowd, mixing the best of soca and dancehall in a seamless flow.

Despite some challenges, including unpredictable weather, Stewart was thrilled with the event’s success. “It wasn’t perfect, but Wet Dreams still created an atmosphere where patrons could let loose and have a great time. There are definitely areas we’ll improve, especially when it comes to promotion and weather-proofing, but the vibes were undeniable,” he noted.

The next Wet Dreams is already shaping up to be even more exciting, and with Stewart’s commitment to delivering an epic event, soca fans are in for a treat come April 2025.
