Targeted Police Operation in Olympic Gardens Yields Gun and Ammunition

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A police operation in Olympic Gardens on Saturday resulted in the seizure of a firearm and a significant cache of ammunition.

The operation, which took place on Balcombe Drive around noon, led to the arrest of a 26-year-old local man. Identified as Dandrea Williams, also known by the nickname ‘Kadeem,’ he is a barber residing in the area. Authorities have charged him with illegal possession of a firearm and unauthorized ammunition.

Details surrounding the operation remain under investigation, as police continue to address gun violence in the community. Williams’ court appearance is in the works, as law enforcement seeks to ensure that those involved in illegal activities are brought to justice.
