Purge All White: Orlando’s Caribbean Celebration That Keeps Growing

What began as a modest gathering in 2016 has since transformed into a defining cultural moment for the Caribbean community in Central Florida. The Purge All White Party, conceived by Marlon Clarke and his small team nearly a decade ago, has steadily built its reputation into one of the premier entertainment events in Orlando.

This year’s edition, staged on August 31 at the Majestic Event Center, once again lived up to its billing: a sold-out, high-energy showcase blending music, fashion, and cultural pride.

From 200 to 1,200: A Movement in Numbers

Clarke, who hails from St. Catherine, Jamaica, recalls the early years vividly. The first staging drew just over 200 patrons. Today, attendance exceeds 1,200, a testament to how far the event has traveled in both reach and reputation.

“What we created was never just a party—it’s a cultural connector,” Clarke shared. “Every year, we see people flying in from other states and countries just to experience the vibe.”

More Than Just Music

The party’s appeal goes beyond its strict all-white dress code. Purge All White has become a curated experience: top-tier DJs, elaborate production, and an emphasis on safety and ambience. Clarke’s co-directors highlight the meticulous preparation—long nights and strategic planning—that goes into making the event feel seamless for patrons.

At the recent staging, selectors such as Tony Matterhorn, Ikel Marvlous, Flabba Dabba (Team Shella), Bishop Escobar, Chef Madness, and DJ Fresh kept the energy high from start to finish. The mix of star power and consistency has been one of the cornerstones of Purge All White’s enduring appeal.

Recognition and Impact

What makes the event particularly striking is its ability to bring together not just partygoers, but also influential figures across Orlando. Local business owners and even politicians were spotted at the August staging, signaling the brand’s wider impact on the city’s cultural and economic landscape.

“It’s not just a night out,” said director Elrick Cross. “It’s become an anchor in Orlando’s entertainment scene, something people look forward to twice a year.”

Looking Ahead

With its next staging already set for March 8, 2026, the team is focused on building momentum toward the milestone 10th anniversary celebration in September 2026. Clarke hints at even bigger plans for that landmark year, noting that the brand is preparing to raise the bar yet again.

As it stands, Purge All White is more than a party—it is an institution, one that captures the rhythm, unity, and ambition of the Caribbean diaspora in Central Florida.
