Jamaica Drawn into Group B for Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

The road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 has officially been charted for Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz, following Wednesday’s Concacaf draw in Miami.

Group Placement

Jamaica, seeded as one of the six top teams, landed in Group B. Their opponents will include Guyana, Nicaragua, Dominica, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Match Format

  • Four matches total: two at home, two away
  • Group stage runs from November 2025 through April 2026
  • Only the winner of each group advances

What’s at Stake

The six group winners will secure a place in the Concacaf W Championship in November 2026. Canada and the United States already have automatic entry. That tournament will determine:

  • World Cup berths for Brazil 2027 (granted to the semi-finalists)
  • Olympic qualification for Los Angeles 2028 (awarded to the two finalists)

The Bigger Picture

For Jamaica, Group B offers a clear but demanding path. Every match matters—one slip could end the campaign. With a strong seeding position and growing momentum, the Reggae Girlz will be expected to set the pace in their group and keep their eyes firmly on a return to the world stage.
