On August 16, 2025, the Jamaica Observer published an article which indicated that Senator Abka Fitz-Henley had delivered a statement to the media regarding a meeting of the Jamaica Debates Commission (JDC).
Subsequent verification has established that Senator Fitz-Henley did not, in fact, issue any such statement concerning the meeting.
The publication acknowledges this error and extends an apology to Senator Fitz-Henley for any inconvenience or embarrassment arising from the report.
