Speaking at Thursday’s relaunch of the federation’s Coaching Education Programme, Ricketts opened with a public apology. “Our supporters deserved far more,” he admitted, adding that the federation’s hierarchy met earlier that morning to map out “clear, corrective steps.”
Without revealing specifics, Ricketts hinted that the federation’s Technical Committee, chaired by Rudolph Speid, will spearhead the response. “Expect announcements soon,” he told reporters. “The decisions we make must restore confidence.”
Sources close to the JFF suggest the review will zero in on the senior team’s technical setup rather than trigger wholesale dismissals. Head coach Steve McClaren and his staff are expected to face a thorough performance audit, though Ricketts stopped short of confirming changes on the bench.
