TAJ Confirms June 16 Deadline for Key Business Tax Payments

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is notifying all business operators and self-employed individuals that a range of critical tax payments are due no later than Monday, June 16, 2025.

This deadline applies to:

  • Second Quarter Estimated Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
  • Second Quarter Self-Employed Contributions
  • May’s Monthly Employer Deductions (S01)

The due date shift stems from the usual mid-month deadlines (14th and 15th) falling on the weekend. As a result, TAJ has extended the cutoff to the next working day — June 16 — without late penalties.

The S01 form covers employee-related statutory deductions including:

  • PAYE (Pay As You Earn)
  • NHT (National Housing Trust)
  • NIS (National Insurance Scheme)
  • Education Tax
  • HEART contributions

Employers who meet the S01 deadline remain eligible for the Employment Tax Credit (ETC), which can significantly reduce their corporate income tax liabilities.

To simplify the process, TAJ has made multiple payment channels available:

  • Online via www.jamaicatax.gov.jm
  • NCB Online Banking
  • Scotia’s Online and Mobile platforms
  • Direct Bank Transfers

For support, taxpayers can contact TAJ’s Customer Care Centre at 888-TAX-HELP (888-829-4357) or email taxhelp@taj.gov.jm.

TAJ strongly advises taxpayers to meet the deadline to remain in good standing and avoid accruing interest or penalties.
