Cyclist Fatally Injured in St Ann Crash Involving Motorcycle

ST ANN, Jamaica — A man from Mile End, Ocho Rios lost his life following a collision involving a bicycle and a motorcycle along the Lodge main road on Sunday morning.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 11:15 am when 38-year-old Kemar Salmon was cycling toward Lodge from his community. During the journey, he reportedly veered from his lane and crashed head-on into a red Honda motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

The impact flung both men from their vehicles. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the hospital. Salmon was later pronounced dead on arrival.

The other individual involved remains hospitalized. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
