Xodus Tailgate Blends Backyard Energy with Festival Spirit

In a refreshing twist on the traditional party scene, Xodus Tailgate offered revellers a lively fusion of backyard nostalgia and soca-fueled celebration on Thursday night.

Small grills fired up, domino tables clattered, and the unmistakable rhythm of soca pulsed through the air as groups set up their own pockets of festivity.

“This feels like a backyard cookout — but multiplied by a thousand,” one attendee said, flashing a grin after winning a heated domino match. “Good vibes, great food, and everybody’s just moving to the music.”

Kamal Bankay, Executive Director of Xodus, captured the spirit of the night simply: “It’s about creating that backyard feeling on a massive scale. Everyone brings their own energy, and when it comes together, it’s something special.”

From spontaneous dance-offs to friendly cooking competitions, Xodus Tailgate reimagined the party experience — bringing a personal, hands-on atmosphere to a large-scale celebration.
