In a bold move to expand its logistics footprint, Rocketship Courier Services Limited has officially acquired Reliable Courier Jamaica, further solidifying its presence in the Jamaican courier market. The acquisition is expected to enhance service efficiency, streamline package handling, and improve last-mile delivery solutions for customers across the island.
Expanding the Delivery Network
The integration of Reliable Courier’s locations in Kingston, Portmore, May Pen, and Old Harbour will bolster Rocketship’s existing operations, which include branches in Village Plaza, The Waterloo, Orchid Village Plaza, Marketplace (Kingston), Hungway Shopping Mall (Portmore), and Barnett Business Centre (Montego Bay). By unifying these networks, Rocketship is positioning itself as a dominant player in Jamaica’s logistics sector.
Additionally, the two companies will now share warehouse facilities in Miami and Jamaica, allowing for more seamless processing and transit of international shipments. This operational upgrade is anticipated to reduce package delays and improve overall efficiency.
Improved Customer Experience & Tech Upgrades
As part of the transition, Reliable Courier customers will gain access to a newly revamped online portal, featuring a more intuitive interface, real-time tracking alerts, and improved package management tools. The enhancements align with Rocketship’s mission to provide faster and more reliable logistics services.

Behind the Deal
The acquisition was facilitated by Barita Investments, which acted as Rocketship’s broker, finalizing the transaction in September 2024. While Rocketship has publicly shared details of the acquisition, Reliable Courier has yet to issue an official statement.
Notably, signs of the transition were evident months before the official announcement, as Reliable Courier had been actively hiring since August 2024, an indication of upcoming operational shifts.
Rocketship’s Growth Trajectory
Since its founding in 2019, Rocketship has made a name for itself by offering same-day shipping services and an expanding logistics network. CEO Orane Edwards has been vocal about the company’s ambitious growth plans, stating that the acquisition aligns with Rocketship’s three-to-five-year strategy to expand branch locations, introduce new services, and strengthen its logistics pipeline.
With the acquisition now complete, Rocketship is set to redefine Jamaica’s courier landscape, providing more streamlined delivery solutions and solidifying its status as a leading player in the industry.
