Palisadoes Precautions

For those planning to watch the fireworks from the Palisadoes main road, the JCF has implemented strict measures to prevent traffic congestion:

  • No parking will be allowed on the right side of the Norman Manley Highway (Harbour View Roundabout to the Airport Roundabout) from 5:00 pm to midnight.
  • Controlled parking will be limited to designated areas on the left side only.
  • No vending will be permitted along the strip.

Enforcement and Safety

The JCF has emphasized its commitment to the strict enforcement of the Road Traffic Act throughout the event. Motorists are urged to cooperate with police instructions, adhere to designated parking zones, and avoid creating obstructions. Vehicles found in unauthorized areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Plan Ahead for a Safe and Enjoyable Event

With large crowds expected, attendees are encouraged to arrive early, utilize the designated parking and shuttle services, and follow all traffic and safety guidelines. The Fireworks Festival 2024 is set to be a memorable end to the year, showcasing the vibrant culture and community spirit of downtown Kingston.
