TRELAWNY, Jamaica – A tragic accident on Saturday night in the quiet community of Flamingo Beach has left a female pedestrian dead and a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 7:00 pm when the woman, a construction worker, was reportedly attempting to cross the road. According to initial reports, she stepped into the path of an oncoming motorcycle driven by a JCF Traffic Department officer.
Despite efforts to save her life, the woman succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to the Falmouth Public General Hospital. The police officer involved in the crash was also transported to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
