Emerging artist Wesrok has officially made his mark on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart with his latest single, “True Love,” a collaboration with renowned American reggae group Big Mountain. The track made a notable entry last week at #86, marking an exciting milestone for the Jamaican musician.
Wesrok expressed his enthusiasm about this new chapter in his career, stating, “I’m thrilled to see the song resonate with listeners. The collaboration came about when I connected with Joaquin McWhinney, the lead singer of Big Mountain. He encouraged me to share an original piece, and his excitement led us to work together on ‘True Love.’ We even teamed up with a talented producer in Mexico to perfect the sound.”
“True Love” is more than just a catchy tune; Wesrok describes it as a heartfelt exploration of love’s essence. Following its warm reception, plans for a music video are already underway.
“We’re gearing up to film the music video in Mexico around October 30. I’m optimistic about how it will turn out, and I believe fans will enjoy it,” he added.
In addition to his chart success, Wesrok is set to perform for the first time in Fort Myers, Florida, this Sunday, October 27, at the Suga Reggae Fest and Jerk Competition at Centennial Park. He’ll be sharing the spotlight with an impressive lineup, including the legendary Mykal Rose, Digicel Rising Stars champion Shuga, AJ Brown, Round Head, and Mr. Easy.
The event, under the distinguished patronage of Consul General Oliver Mair and Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson, promises to be a vibrant celebration of music and culture.
Looking ahead, Wesrok is also in the studio working on his upcoming EP, which will focus on country and western themes, showcasing yet another facet of his diverse musical talent.
