KINGSTON, Jamaica —In a ceremony at Gordon House, Samuda took the Oath of Allegiance shortly after 2:00 PM, marking his transition from the Senate to the House of Representatives. He received congratulations from both sides of the aisle, with Government Business Leader Edmund Bartlett and Opposition Business Leader Phillip Paulwell extending their warm welcome.

Samuda highlighted the importance of continuing the work in the constituency and pledged to focus on issues critical to the residents of St Ann North Eastern.
